About this event
This event has been organised to present and debate the content of Issue 27 of
the Centre for Global Education’s bi-annual, open access, peer reviewed journal
Policy and Practice: A Development Education Review. The theme of this issue
is ‘Rethinking Critical Approaches to Development Education’ and, as Guest
Editor Sharon Stein suggests in her Guest Editorial, this requires “that we
prepare students with the self-reflexivity, intellectual curiosity, historical
memory, and deep sense of responsibility they will need in order to collectively
navigate an uncertain future for which there are no clear roadmaps”. Two of
the authors who contributed articles on this theme to Issue 27 of the journal will
present their papers and encourage discussion on the key issues that connect
these related sectors of education. Students, academics, development
educators and human rights practitioner are all invited to attend.

Targeted Sectors of Education
